Developed by Jones and Bartlett Learning, in partnership with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), EMS1 Academy’s unique program is designed to help students master the cognitive and didactic portions of DOT EMT-Paramedic courses online.
Consisting of 53 online modules, the online paramedic courses are a fully narrated series that include animation to stimulate interest and reinforce lecture material, quiz questions to measure learning, and a comprehensive exam to evaluate progress at the end of each module.
Designed as an innovative solution to the versatile needs of instructors and students, the goal of Paramedic Interactive is to fit everyone’s teaching and learning requirements. Whether used as a complete set of distance learning courses, a comprehensive interactive workbook, or as a paramedic refresher course, Paramedic Interactive provides a well-rounded review of all major topics covered in the Paramedic National Standard Curriculum. Additionally, Paramedic Interactive offers students the convenience and flexibility of studying the online paramedic course at their own pace and gives instructors the ability to track students’ performance.
Paramedic Interactive courses are now CAPCE-approved and offer between 0.5 to 7.5 CEU per module. When taken in entirety and completed successfully, there are over 100 hours of CEU awarded.
