Health and Wellness for Fire

In the fire service, the focus can often be on the task at hand instead of the health of the one performing the task. The simple truth of it is that you’re not at your best if you’re not feeling 100%. That, combined with the traumatic situations encountered, reinforces the need for greater attention to health and wellness for fire. Courses like Firefighter PTSD (NFPA 1500), Mental Health and Wellness for Firefighters, and Firefighter Rehab: Protocols for Rehab, Firefighter Cancer: Prevention and Health are an excellent place to start.
