National EMS Week brings the community safety awareness with public education service announcements and honors the dedication of EMS professionals.
Ft. Lauderdale, FL – May 17, 2010 – Kaplan Fire & EMS Training and Kaplan University are proud to be sponsors of National EMS Week in conjunction with the American College of Emergency Physicians. Between May 16 and May 22, 2010, the EMS community will be honored by local communities and medical personnel for their dedication to providing day-to-day lifesaving services.
Kaplan Fire & EMS Training and Kaplan University will be providing educational and financial support for National EMS Week. Along with other sponsors, companies will help develop and distribute the EMS promotional materials as part of a public education service announcement.
“It’s very important to honor the EMS community for the lifesaving work they do each day. National EMS week is an appropriate time to highlight the critical role played by the EMS community by bringing a service announcement and education to the public.” said Dr. Steven Katz, KCE Chief Medical Officer. “At Kaplan we strive to support the ongoing education needs of first responders, EMT’s, paramedics and firefighters.”
